Malo E Lelei, My name is Nua Unga. I am a first generation Tongan-American. I was born to Lola Lavaki of Neiafu, Vavau and Willis Lui Unga of Haalaufuli, Vavau.

I am the proud father to five brilliant kids and husband to an amazing wife of 20+ years! In 2007, with excitement and joy, my family took part in the "American Dream" by officially becoming a homeowner. Unbeknownst to us, this was the worst time in history to buy a home. The U.S. economy was going through a financial crisis & housing downturn that crashed in 2008. I saw family and friends lose their homes left and right; with the fear we would be next, I ended up working 80hrs a week. I was stressed, I was overworked, I was broken. I knew this wasn't how I wanted to live, and there had to be something’s better for us.

My journey into the financial world started while working for a fortune 500 company. In 2017, I had a 20min conversation with a cousin who introduced me to cryptocurrency - specifically Bitcoin (value: $5k/per bitcoin). To be honest, I left that conversation confused. How does a digital asset that you can't touch, see or smell be worth 5K?  Fast forward to 2020, I started my journey trading stocks and options that eventually catapulted my journey. While diving more into the trading world, another cousin brings up an asset I forgot about - Bitcoin. Now my confusion turned into curiosity, and immediately was intrigued while doing research. 

 

Bitcoin was launched in 2009, by Satoshi Nakamoto, due to the financial crisis & housing downturn. Nakamoto was not confident in the financial institutions and the leaders of this country, let alone that no one took responsibility for this event. I felt his frustration and remembered what my family had to go through back then. I ran the numbers. If I bought $100 worth of bitcoin back in July 2010, my family would have over $57,800,000 (as of May 11th, 2022). It was simply the best performing asset ever. For 16 years, I slaved away to someone else's dream. Someone else's vision. Someone else's wealth. Not anymore! 

 

I have been living off crypto since then. It has allowed me to be fully present for my family, and total control over my 24hrs. I have participated in ICO's, yield farming, liquidity pools, HODL, trading and constant crypto research. I have truly been blessed to have found my passion in cryptocurrency and trading. I will always be a student of this craft as I build my wealth, and only want to be a resource to our community with what I've gained so far. 

 

I am blessed to be part of the Elite Financial Team and the vision we have for our Pacific Island Community. I look forward to growing and assisting people who are willing to learn and grow with me. Some people think that it's too late, but like C.S. Lewis said, “You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can START where you are and change the ENDING".
